Groin / Ankle / Back

I continue to be overwhelmed at the willingness of God to make Himself known to the people around us in a supernatural fashion. As Gods literal sons and daughters we have the amazing opportunity to let Jesus present Himself to people wherever we are. (2 Cor 6:18, Colossians 1:27).

One of the things I have learned is to pray often and let God know I’m available for Him to reach out to people through me. It’s amazing what He does. Check out 2 Chronicals 16:9 where it talks about God looking for people to move through. The three stories that I’ll share below confirm that.

As I was walking out to my car one day at lunch I was praying, letting God know I was available and before I even ended my prayer I saw one of the sales reps in my office about 30 yards out in front of me limping. It was kind of funny, God moved fast. I caught up with him and it turned out that he pulled his groin working out recently. Long story short he let me pray for his injury and when we were done he was walking without a limp. Blown away and eyes opened! God said hello to another one of His kids. One encounter with the the Holy Spirit changes things.

My buddy AB has been steadily developing his relationship with God. He gets the truth that Christ is in him and wants to reach out to people through him. He passed a story on to me about a recent God focused interaction he had. On his way home from the gym he stopped at a gas station. He went in to pay and got into a conversation with a guy who was walking with a limp. Turns out he just recently sprained his ankle. AB asked if he could pray for it. He prayed twice. Pain went from a 10 down to a 6 (40% improvement) then down to a 1 (90% total improvement).  He then had the open floor to share the good news of Jesus. He actually got a video interview of the guy telling the story about what happened. Watch the video here.

I was on my way back into work from lunch a different day and saw another coworker limping down the stairs. I asked him what happened, I turned around and walked out with him. Turns out he was experiencing a good amount of back pain. He let me pray and the pain dropped. Got down to a 1 (90% improvement) after a few prayers and was able to share the truth of Jesus and why that was able to happen. Since then he has made a commitment to Jesus and has found a good church to attend. Holy Spirit is amazing! I love when He invades.

I’m fully convinced that God wants to take each of us from whatever stage we are in to the full realization that we are His beloved children. Try to really download that. It’s not always easy to do but when we start to get that it really changes things. We then get to partner with Him on His mission and the journey of life enhances.

Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God…(1 John 3:1)

Be encouraged,

John
