What’s up my friends! Here is another update on ways Jesus has shown His willingness to reach out and love His kids recently. He wants to be a regular part of our lives.

11/2. A family member stopped by our house for prayer because of knee pain she’d had for weeks. It made it difficult to get through the normal routines of life. Jaxen, Trace and I prayed for her and she had some relief of pain the next day. I stopped by their house Wednesday evening (11/5) and prayed for her knee again. As of the next morning she has now been pain free. Lesson driven home for me: Be persistent in prayer. (Colossians 4:2, 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)

11/8. I was working out at the YMCA and I saw a high school age kid with a knee brace on. We were on the platform overlooking the basketball courts so I asked him why he was wearing it. He had surgery on 2 ligaments in his knee from a basketball injury. The doctor told him he needed another surgery. I told him that Gods been doing some amazing things before my eyes recently on the topic of prayer.  I asked if I could pray for his knee. We prayed, he said he felt like a spot light was turned on in his knee which I believe is the healing presence of God. The first prayer the pain level went from a 10 to a 5. 2nd prayer went from a 5 to 1. His dad called after that and had to leave. LOL. But in about 5 minutes he had an encounter with Jesus he can’t explain in any other way which makes him have to think about Jesus differently. That’s the goal 🙂

11/9. Sunday night, Melani had a headache all throughout her head and a pain in one of her trap muscles. Both were completely obliterated in the name of Jesus in 3 prayers.    (Hebrews 11:6, 1 John 5:14-15)

11/12. I was at lunch catching up with a friend and I saw a woman across the aisle from me with a cane. Started small talk then transitioned to ask why she needed the cane. Her name was Caralyn, she had a bad fall recently and tore cartilage in her hip. She was in pain just sitting. I told her the story of God healing Aimees back 2 weeks ago and that I feel God moving me to pray for people with injuries. She was hesitant but agreed to let me pray for her. After 2 prayers she felt 50% better sitting and standing. Also felt the warm presence of God.

Her friend Maureen told me during our conversation that she had pain in her lower back and would take anything to help alleviate it. So she more willingly than Caralyn let me pray for her. Afterwards she let me take a video recap of what happened. The video is on the Testimony page (Testimony from Maureen..)

Here are just some reasons Jesus did what He did:

  • To save you and me. To be the Saviour of the world. John 3:16-18
  • To seek and save the lost. Luke 19:10, 1 Timothy 1:15
  • To be the light of the world. John 12:46
  • For you to have life, more abundantly. John 10:10
  • To demonstrate God’s love for us. 1 John 4:10
  • To preach the Kingdom of God. Luke 4:43
  • To learn from. 1 Peter 2:21, Matthew 11:29

We thankfully GET the choice to join His mission (Matthew 28:18-20, Mark 16:15-18, 1 John 3:8) and allow our Creator to work through us. It’s the most amazing, fulfilling journey.
